A light, airy kurta in pure kota doria, printed by hand with a delicate floral buti, paired with dabu-style discharge printed cotton pants and a matching kota doria dupatta finished with a fine zari border and tassels. ✦ Fabric & Craft
Kota doria is a featherlight handloom fabric from Rajasthan, known for its signature checked weave (khat) that lets air move freely – perfect for warm days. The kurta has a soft cotton lining, so it stays comfortable and is not see-through, while the sleeves are left sheer for a graceful look. Every piece is printed by hand with wooden blocks by karigars in Jaipur, so small variations in the print are part of its handmade character. The pants are cotton, printed by hand using the discharge technique, where the light motifs are created on an indigo base.

Oxidised silver jhumkas and brown leather juttis for a classic Jaipur look. For the office, skip the dupatta and add a structured tote and a watch. For a puja or festive lunch, drape the dupatta on both shoulders and add a small potli. In cooler weather abroad, a camel or white long coat looks beautiful over indigo.
